Plant Expansions: Polyplex expands to Indonesia;

India’s Polyplex, which manufactures biaxially oriented polyester (BOPP) film for packaging, electrical and other industrial applications with facilities in India, Thailand and Turkey, has set up an arm in Indonesia.
A new company named PT Polyplex Films Indonesia was set up in 2017 as a wholly owned subsidiary of Polyplex (Thailand). The company is in now the process of setting up a greenfield BOPP film line project with a capacity of 60,000 tonnes/year, with an investment of US$48 million.
The commercial production is expected to start in mid-2019. It will be located in an industrial estate in Serang towards west of Jakarta and cater mainly the domestic market in Indonesia and also the regional and other export markets.
